Breast modelling – mammaplasty
Who is breast modelling suitable for?
For women who want to get an aesthetically pleasing breast shape and eliminate their drop.
Modelling mammaplasty does not change the actual size of the breast, but only models its shape.
Mammaplasty is suitable for women who do not want to change the breast volume, but only require breast modelling.
Medical aspects of the intervention
It is a surgically performed aesthetic change in the shape and position of the breasts.
The disadvantage of the modelling procedure is the formation of scars, their extent is determined by the type of performed modelling.
Form of intervention
Modelling mammaplasty is performed under general anaesthesia and during hospitalisation.
In total, the procedure takes about 1-2 hours.
The hospitalisation is about 2 to 3 days.
It is necessary to undergo a mammological examination before the procedure.
Method and course of procedure
During the procedure itself, the areola with nipple are separated from the surrounding skin around their contour. Afterwards, they are left connected to the mammary gland.
The other skin of the breast is released from the mammary gland.
The mammary gland is modelled to the desired shape – the nipple is moved upwards by a few centimetres and the skin of the breast is "wrapped" around the body of the gland. Excess skin is removed.
Drains are inserted during the procedure to remove secretions from the wound.
The resulting scar on the breast has a different shape and size, depending on the method of surgery.
Postoperative course and recommendations
Stitches are removed about two weeks after modelling.
Elastic underwear must be worn for a total of at least 6-8 weeks and is important to maintain the shape of the breasts and decrease the load on scars.
After the wounds have healed, it is necessary to take care of the scars, which must be protected from sunlight for at least 3 months (you will discuss the details with your physician).
The average recovery time is in the order of weeks.
Sports are not recommended for approximately one month after the procedure; for a further month, wear an elastic bra during sports.
Price calculation
This procedure is not covered by health insurance
The total price of the procedure is given by the sum of the price for the procedure itself, for the elastic underwear, for general anaesthesia, for hospitalisation according to its length – see the price list.
This procedure is performed in our facility by all plastic surgeons.
